FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas - The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office has announced it's seeking a person of interest in connection to the double homicide of a wealthy couple in an exclusive Katy neighborhood.

Late Friday morning Sheriff Troy Nehls announced his office would like to speak to 20-year-old Ryan Walton. Walton has not been heard from since the murders.

Walton once attended Texas A&M-Corpus Christi but is no longer enrolled in college.

The victims have been identified as 54-year-old Michael Walton and his wife, 52-year-old Lynda Walton. The Sheriff's Office says the couple had four children, including one who attends Katy High School.

Deputies have not released the cause of death, but report trauma to the bodies, and shell casings recovered on the scene.

Another news conference is scheduled for Friday afternoon.

Anyone with knowledge on the whereabouts of Ryan Walton is encouraged to contact the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Dispatch at 281-341-4665 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477).
