HOUSTON -

Severe weather moved through three Houston-area counties Tuesday afternoon, triggering thunderstorm warnings.

At 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning expired for Harris, Liberty and Chambers counties. It was in effect for about an hour.

The National Weather Service said winds in excess of 60 mph were capable and penny-size hail could accompany the damaging winds.

In addition to large hail and damaging winds, continuous cloud-to-ground lightning occurred.
