Several injured after chase ends in northwest Houston crash

HOUSTON – Several people suffered minor injuries Thursday when a chase ended in a crash in northwest Houston, police said.

Police said the chase started at East T C Jester and W. 20th Street.

The crash was reported about 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Tidwell Road and Wheatley Street.

Police said they tried to stop the vehicle because the driver was wanted on felony warrants. The driver sped away and crashed into several other vehicles.

The driver tried to run from the scene but was quickly arrested, police said.

Video from Sky 2 showed at least four vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, were involved in the crash. At least two ambulances were also at the scene.

Police said the tractor-trailer driver was no injured. One of the drivers was treated at the scene and another driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver of the pursued vehicle suffered minor injuries, police said.

A silver SUV was being driven by Alisa Hatch's brother.

His wife and and children were in the car.

They're at the hospital being treated for minor injuries.

"I'm thankful they were (lucky) to be alive to come out and see all the vehicles in this accident," she said
