Search for missing League City mother continues Saturday

LEAGUE CITY, Texas – Texas EquuSearch continues to search for missing mother Saturday morning.

Anne Christine Johnson, 30, has been missing for nine days. Her ex-husband told police he last saw her on Dec. 8 outside his League City home. He said she left in a white Sedan with a man.

For the past two days crews have been searching a wooded-area near the ex-husband’s home, between State Highway 35 and Interstate 45.

“I think we can all be fearful the longer she’s gone and not seen, the more concerned we get,” said Tim Miller of Texas EquuSearch.

Crews used all-Terrain Vehicles and searched by foot until the rain started coming down at 3 p.m. Friday.

Johnson’s mother told Channel 2 that it is very unlike her daughter to just disappear, especially since she has a special-needs child, who requires specific care. Johnson had recently started working as a cocktail waitress at Legend’s Sports Grill in League City. She called in sick last week and nobody has heard from her since.

“We don’t have anything that suggests foul play, but at the same time we don’t have any evidence she left on her own,” Miller said.

EquuSearch crews will be back out searching on Saturday morning.

“We're nowhere close to calling it quits on this one,” Miller said.

If you have any information about what happened to Johnson, call League City police at 409-948-2525
