HOUSTON – Harris County sheriff's investigators are looking for any clues that might help them find those responsible for murdering a family of four inside their Cypress home.
"From all indications, they were a quiet family," Sheriff Adrian Garcia said at press conference Tuesday. "They were the average family."

On the night of Jan. 30 deputies responded to a residence in the 14000 block of Fosters Creek for a welfare check after a friend said the husband had not been to work in six days. Deputies said the back door was open.
"(Investigators) found a horrific crime scene," Sheriff Garcia said. "It's baffling to me how anyone has it within them to take the lives of children."
Deputies say in one bedroom they discovered the bodies of the husband and wife, who had been shot to death. The couple's young sons, ages 7 and 9, were found dead inside another bedroom. All four had been shot in the head.
The children attended nearby Sampson Elementary School. Family friends say one boy was in second grade and the other was in fourth grade.
The medical examiner says the two adults were shot once and the two children were each shot twice.
Garcia said his investigators have no suspects and no motive.
"We want the public to rack their brains and provide us any bit of information," Garcia said.
Investigators said they haven't recovered the gun that was used, but they are looking into a broken window as a possible sign of forced entry.
"There was some signs," Sgt. Felipe Rivera said. "Although we don't know if it's old entry or if it's old damage. That part is still under investigation."
Deputies have not released the victims' names yet because they say the couple was originally from China and they're having trouble notifying family members.
Meanwhile, Garcia made a directly plea to the killer -- or killers --Tuesday.
"Have humanity in your heart and turn yourselves in," Garcia said. "If you can't do that, then I hope you never find a restful moment for the rest of your life."
