Man reported missing by chat group found safe, according to family

HOUSTON – A man who was reported missing Friday has been found, according to a friend of the man.

The family of Dale Labang said he was found at his home around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday after they received word that Labang's car was outside his home.

According to the family, Labang's friend went to Labang's apartment and saw his car parked outside.

The family called police then knocked on his door. Labang's cousin Mel, said they were "shocked" when Labang answered.

Bobby said Labang seemed "stunned and not himself."

Mel said Labang seemed healthy and unharmed but was hesitant to talk about his whereabouts over the past several days.

A friend of the family, who is a doctor, is staying with Labang to make sure he is OK, the family said.

Labang was reported missing after a group he chats with daily said they did not see comments from him since Friday.

Investigators said he was seen Saturday at a Galveston beach.

He did not show up for work Monday.

His family said he is responsible and reliable and it is out of character for him to disappear.
