FREELAND, Wash. – A sea lion in Washington found a place to rest over the weekend, and likely crushed a car owner’s spirit in the process. The massive animal managed to climb onto a car in a parking lot, look around a bit -- and then lay down for a short snooze.
Melanie J. Sceva Hill posted video and photos of the incident on Facebook. She wrote, “Only on Whidbey Island…I guess he’s been there for a while.”
There’s no word on how long the animal stayed in the area, nor if the car sustained damage after the hefty animal left its perch. Hill said in a comment on the post that two law enforcement officers were monitoring the situation.
