Saturday morning will be our transition time from heavy rain and stormy last night to cool and sunny today.
A cold front pushed through this morning. Dry air behind the front choked off the showers. Most of the activity is well into the Gulf of Mexico.
Clearing conditions will lead to sunny skies by noon; however, you may want to dress in layers. The front will bring with it breezy conditions. Winds are anticipated to come in from the North around 15 mph and gusting around 20 mph.
Cooler air will filter behind the front. Highs today will be in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Houston and Galveston are expected to hit around 73 degrees.
Tonight, temperatures will cool rapidly under mainly clear skies.
Sunday morning will be the coldest start yet with lows in the upper 40s.
Sunday will be sunny and mild with a high of 77 degrees.
