HOUSTON – Saturday is National Prescription Drug take-back day.
The annual prescription drug take-back event allows those with expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs to take them to a drop-off location so they can be disposed of properly.

According to the Drug Enforcement Agency, Americans turned in 350 tons of prescription drugs last year alone.
The take-back program is anonymous and free. Drugs can be turned in from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
