GALVESTON, Texas - A Santa Fe couple exchanged their vows on the beach, and it was a long time coming for the love birds.
After 12 years together Jason and Sherie are finally saying "I do".
The couple's grandchildren wore red in honor of the Valentine's Day ceremony.
"My grandparents that are no longer with us, they got married on Valentine's Day. And they were married 50 years. So it's a special day for our family," said Sherie White.
Their blended family includes three sons and an 11-year-old daughter, who's credited with convincing the couple it was time to tie the knot.
"I love her with all of my heart. I couldn't imagine anyone else. She's the love of my life," said Jason White.
The Whites said they will be honeymooning in Vegas.
The bride says she's been watching the weather forecasts for the past month. After the cold and wet start to the week, Friday's weather turned out to be perfect for a beach wedding.
