Rodeo clown controversy over masks of Obama, other presidents

MESQUITE, Texas (KXAS) – A North Texas rodeo caused controversy after bringing in clowns wearing masks of presidents, including President Barack Obama.

It came a week after the Missouri State Fair issued a lifetime ban for a different rodeo clown's performance of the president.

The masks of Obama and other former presidents appeared at the Mesquite Rodeo's Championship weekend, held August 23-24.

While it was the first time Obama's clown made its way to the rodeo, in the last 50 years, other presidents have been there too, including Nixon.

Some people said after the backlash in Missouri, it was just bad timing.
