HOUSTON -

Chandler Parsons has played his last game as a Houston Rocket and he's headed to an in-state rival.

The small forward confirmed reports that the Rockets will not match the Mavericks 3-year $46 million contract offer through his Twitter account.

"Just heard from (Rockets general manager Daryl Morey) @dmorey and Mr. Alexander (Rockets owner Leslie Alexander). Nothing but utmost respect for them, the fans and city of Houston. THANK YOU for your support!

"Houston will always have a special place in my heart and I will never forget the memories. My teammates, I love you, thank you."

The Rockets drafted Parsons No. 38 overall in the second round of the 2011 NBA draft. He was a starter his rookie season.

His third season in 2013-2014 was his best campaign so far. He averaged 16.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4 assists per contest.
