HOUSTON -

A River Oaks boutique that rented high-end dresses is going out of business this month, and as they prepare to close you can find a great deal on high fashion.

After about a year and a half, the owner of New for the Night has decided to close up shop. That means she's got hundreds of designer dresses she needs to clear out in just three weeks.

Local 2 introduced viewers to New for the Night in April, a shop where women could borrow something beautiful. You could rent designer dresses and gowns that cost hundreds of dollars for as little as $40 a night.

The owner purchased the dresses from markets in New York. She said many have never been worn and they're all 60 percent off.

The small shop on Westheimer near West Alabama features designers like Jay Godfrey, Rebecca Taylor and Robert Rodriguez.

Local 2's Amy Davis found a Cynthia Steffe dress that originally retailed for $295, now marked down to $118. Another Parker dress originally priced $400 is now $160.
