HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying a robbery suspect who left a pharmacy empty-handed.
Surveillance cameras captured what Crime Stoppers is calling a "robbery fail."
It happened on March 18 about 11 a.m. at a pharmacy in the 2000 block of South Fry Road.
The suspect perused the greeting card section and selected a sympathy card to buy. Once at the register, the suspect came up short of cash and was unable to complete the transaction. He left, promising to come back with additional funds to complete the purchase.
When the suspect returned, he passed a threatening note to the victim, demanding the cash from the register, investigators said.
The victim told the suspect there was no way to open the register without making a purchase. The suspect left the store with his note and the sympathy card.19549500
