Reward offered for information on Woodforest Bank robbery

HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who robbed a Houston-area bank.

At around noon Friday, a man entered the Woodforest National Bank inside the Walmart at 9700 Hillcroft. The robber gave the teller a note that demanded cash.

The robber, described as a black male weighing about 180 to 200 pounds, was wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket and faded jeans.

Officials say the man fled the area in an older model black truck.
