Reward offered for capital murder suspect

Anthony Johnson is the suspect in the murder of Jawon Carson.

HOUSTON – A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of a man accused of capital murder.

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department have teamed up to bring attention to the search for Anthony Johnson. He is accused of killing Jawon Carson, 35.

Police said Carson's body was found on December 13 under a bridge in the 4500 block of Richey Road.

Officials said Carson was shot in his home and then his body was dumped under the bridge.

One arrest has already been made in the case. Rasheed Shelton is charged with tampering with evidence.

Police said the accused shooter, Anthony "Yolie" Johnson, is still at large. He faces a capital murder charge.

Carson's family has joined with Crime Stoppers of Houston and HPD to ask for the public's assistance. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for any information leading to the suspect's arrest.
