Residents still reporting 'Wobbly Wheel' cases

HOUSTON – Residents are still reporting 'Wobbly Wheel' cases in Houston.

Houston police first warned residents about this crime in September, but women in The Heights and Bellaire told Local 2 it's still happening.

One woman said her family has been approached by the suspects three times.

"I think it's happening on the rise in this neighborhood," said Angela Shah, who lives in Bellaire.  "There's been other people who've voiced concerns, it happened to me three times."

Shah said a car full of men and women flagged her down while she was driving on the South Loop feeder road near Beechnut, her family was also approached in a parking lot on Bissonnett and just this past weekend she was approached again in Meyerland.

"He told me there was damage to the back of my car and if I wanted it repaired he could do it for $200," Shah said.

Houston police said no arrests have been made so it could be the same individuals who are still at or it may even be a group of copy cat individuals.
