Reports: Former MLB Player, broadcaster, 'Today' show co-host Joe Garagiola Sr. dies

PHOENIX – Former Major League Baseball Player, broadcaster, "Today" show co-host Joe Garagiola died Wednesday, according to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Garagiola was the voice of NBC's "Game of the Week" and the Arizona Diamondbacks' first color analyst.

The Valley native died Wednesday morning at the age of 90 after a long illness.

He retired from broadcasting in 2013 and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991 when he won the Ford Frick Award for Broadcasting.
