Rain relieves SE Texas drought conditions

Headline Goes Here

HOUSTON - Good news!  It's rained 12 of 17 days this month and that has improved our drought conditions.  At the start of the month all of the southeast Texas was in a moderate or severe drought, but now only our western counties are in a moderate drought.

What a difference a week makes.  The overall drought went from 87 percent to 74 percent statewide.  The extreme to exceptional drought went from 35 percent to 21 percent.
