MOBILE, Ala. – Parents are calling a test given at an Alabama middle school racist and inappropriate.
The school system has placed 8th grade Burns Middle School teacher Joanne Bosler on paid administrative leave.
Guns, drugs and sex are used in the word math problems, including one which reads "Dwayne pimps 3 ho's. If the price is $85 per trick, how many tricks per day must each ho turn to support Dwayne's $800 per day crack habit.?"
"I was shocked because she's a strict teacher," said an 8th grade student who took the test and didn't want to be identified. "She was telling all her classes it was a joke. She was laughing along with them."
Jason Boyington's son took the test. He said the questions were very offensive.
"He had to read it twice for it to sink in are they really asking me these kind of things," said Boyington.
Another teacher told WPMI that Bosler was set to retire Wednesday and was "the epitome of a perfect teacher."
