HOUSTON - There are more questions than answers about how a 1-year-old girl died.
Harris County sheriff's deputies said they were called out to a mobile home park in the 10700 block of Cora near Esther in northwest Harris County on Thursday.
The baby's mother had run to a neighbor's home for help for her daughter , officials said.
When medics arrived, they gave the girl CPR, but it did not work.
The girl died. Her name has not been released.
Investigators said they originally believed that the girl did not die of natural causes, but sources told KPRC Local 2 that she may have had a medical issue. Sources said the girl was suffering from an unusually high fever shortly before her death.
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will determine the cause of her death.
