General Position Description:
KPRC-TV Local 2, the Post Newsweek owned-NBC station in Houston, Texas is searching for a part time production assistant.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will set up and strike sets/props as needed and assist in their assembly and construction; assist producer/director in preparation and staging of newscasts, commercials, and promotions; and ensure the efficient flow of staff and equipment in and out of the studio. Will also confirm mics in studio (troubleshoot, mic placement). Position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.

Qualifications:
-Experience in television production requires, including proficiency in the operation and maintenance of studio cameras, teleprompter operation, lighting, and floor directing
-Experience in commercial or news field productions and editing, preferred
-Should have working knowledge of wireless mics and be familiar with outputs for mics and video
-Degree in Communications or related field a plus
-Strong technical knowledge and computer skills are a plus
