OCEAN GATE, N.J. – An officer in New Jersey is making headlines for going beyond the call of duty to help a skunk.
Officer Jonathan Whitney caught the ordeal on camera.
He jumped into action when he spotted the skunk with its head stuck inside an orange juice carton earlier this month.
The situation was especially tense for the officer, because he had already been sprayed by another skunk earlier.
In the end officer Whitney managed to remove the carton, but he warns everyone don't try this yourself and call a trained professional if you run into the same situation.
