Pregnant woman pinned by car during argument

HOUSTON – A pregnant woman was seriously hurt Thursday when she was pinned by a car driven by a woman who is pregnant, likely by the same man, investigators said.

Houston police said Shareyll Hunter, 26, is five months pregnant and 26-year-old Christopher Chaney is possibly the baby's father. Alise Kelley, 21, is four month's pregnant and Chaney is the father of her baby, police said. Chaney also has a third girlfriend who lives in Virginia, investigators said.

Chaney and Hunter live in a home in the 9600 block of Ravenworth near Wembly. Chaney's two children with Hunter also live with them, police said.

Chaney said Hunter and Kelley have been texting each other saying they want to fight.

"They just don't like each other," Chaney said. "I don't know if it's me or what. I mean, I am handsome."

He said he woke up Thursday morning and found Kelley beating on the window of his car and Hunter was in the driver's seat. He said Hunter got into his home and took the keys to the car.

Chaney said Hunter got out of the car and began threatening Kelley with a flashlight. He said Hunter got back into the car and backed into Kelley.

"My other kids' mother get out the car with a flashlight trying to hit the other one. She walked toward the house getting away from the flashlight and she actually revved the engine up and drove her into the brick," said Chris Chaney.

Kelley suffered severe injuries to one of her legs and she was hospitalized in critical condition. Doctors have not said if Kelley's unborn baby was hurt or not.

Hunter then drove off in a beige, four-door Lincoln LS with a dealer plate.

There was already a warrant out for Hunter's arrest on a charge of failure to identify. She is also wanted for questioning in an aggravated assault that occurred Thursday.

Anyone with information regarding Hunter's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
