HOUSTON – Nine people were arrested as a result of an undercover prostitution sting in northern Harris County.
The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office conducted a week long operation at a business near Cypress Creek Parkway and Kuykendahl Road, which lead to the arrests of nine individuals.
“The goal of these and similar operations is to dampen and ultimately eliminate the blatant prostitution on the streets near our neighborhoods and business districts of Harris County, Precinct 4," said Constable Mark Herman.
Deputy constables said the charges range from misdemeanor prostitution to felony possession of various controlled substances, including heroin and cocaine.
Several of the individuals arrested had outstanding warrants, deputy constables said.
One of the men was arrested for soliciting an investigator while his 7-year-old daughter was in the car, officials said. Investigators said the child is safe with her mother while Child Protective Services further investigates the child’s living situation.
