GALVESTON, Texas – Power has been restored at the Galveston Pleasure Pier after a brief outage.
It happened around 8:30 p.m.

The Pier maintenance and operations units used a backup release system and manually lowered people who were stuck on rides, according to an official with the Landry's Amusement Division.
There were no injuries.
