Police warn of 'skimming' scams at gas stations

PASADENA, Texas – Thieves are using devices to steal your credit card information ahead of the holiday weekend.

Pasadena police say they've located "skimming" devices at several area ATMs and fuel pumps. The device is invisible to the consumer but reveals a lot of information, such as credit card and personal identification numbers to crooks.

To keep safe, police suggest paying inside the store or using a pump near the store. Police also advise consumers to make sure the ATM or fuel pump machine card machine isn't damaged before using it.
