BAYTOWN, Texas - A teenager has been accused of pointing a gun at a woman and her 1-year-old daughter.
Baytown police said Tremain Mayes, 18, went into an apartment in the 4600 block of Village Lane about 9 a.m. on Wednesday without permission, and a woman inside tried to make him leave.
Mayes refused to leave, pulled out a gun and pointed it at the woman and her child, investigators said.
Police said Mayes then pushed the woman into a closet and ran out of the apartment. He left the area in a blue Saturn, officials said.
Mayes has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He has not been arrested.
Investigators have not said if Mayes and the victim knew each other.
Anyone with information regarding Mayes' whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
