Police are searching for five people who they said have committed crimes against children in the Houston area.
Police are now offering rewards for information leading to the arrests of Kelly Noemi Delcid, 33, Claude Vincent Edwards, 55, Stephanie Aileen Henry, 34, Efren Mirafuentes, 51, and Andres Alberto Soto-Galvan, 37.
According to police, Delcid was charged with abandoning and endangering a child with intent to retaliate in 2002 after police responded to a call at her home and found her children in the back bedroom of her apartment, which was described as filthy, on a wooden pallet.
Edwards, who has been on the run since October 2011, is wanted on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child under 6 and failure to register as a sex offender. He has lived in both Crosby and Channelview.
Henry was arrested and charged with a DWI in May 2005 after police said they pulled her over for running a red light and found a strong smell of alcohol coming from her, with a 3-year-old boy sitting in the front passenger seat. She never showed for her court appearance.
Mirafuentes was charged in 2013 with super-aggravated assault with a child for incidents that allegedly occurred in 2010. Police said Mirafuentes dropped his family off at a store to purchase clothing. While the family was in the store he sexually assaulted a child that was in the vehicle with him, police said.
After that child's report of the assault another victim came forward to say she had also been sexually assaulted by Mirafuentes, who was living in Channelview at the time.
Soto-Galvan was charged, but not arrested, in October 2013 with super-aggravated assault of a child on a girl who was 5 years old and a friend of Soto-Galvan's.
Police are urging anyone with any information on these persons of interest or the offenses to come forward by calling 713-222-8477.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of any of these persons.
Tipsters may remain anonymous.
