Police searching for man who shot, robbed woman after trip to ATM

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Police are asking for help identifying a violent man who police say robbed and shot a woman in west Harris County on May 13.

Around 11:20 p.m. on that evening, police responded to a 911 call from a woman, saying a man had shot her and stolen her purse.

According to police, the woman said she left work in the 8500 block of Highway 6 North and West Road and walked to a Wells Fargo ATM in an adjacent parking lot to deposit her paycheck.

The woman said a man approached her and demanded her purse. The woman said she resisted, and the man pulled a small pistol and shot her in the shoulder.

Police said the man then ran to a white, 4-door sedan and left in an unknown direction.

When police arrived, the woman was able to give a description of the man.

The woman also said his top teeth were gold capped, while his bottom teeth were a gold, checkerboard pattern.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 reward leading to the charging or arrest of the man.
