HOUSTON -

Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly punched an elderly man in the face as many as 15 times.

According to investigators, the elderly man was picking up mail at his ex-wife's Houston home when he heard an argument inside the house. The elderly man told police he found Vernanza Franklin, 50, arguing with his sister. He said he tried to stop the argument and asked Franklin to leave.

Police say Franklin knocked the elderly man over a table and started punching in the face. Investigators say Franklin hit the victim 12 to 15 times.

The victim suffered swelling in both eyes and had several scratches to his head and neck.

A warrant has been issued for Franklin's arrest.
