HOUSTON – Police are searching for a man who kidnapped and sexually assaulted a woman on March 7.
Police said the 20-year-old victim was approached by a Hispanic male in the 8000 block of Broadway.
The victim said the man pointed a pistol at her, making her fear for her life, before escorting her to a secluded area, where he sexually assaulted her and then robbed her.
Residents who live in the same apartment complex as the victim are hoping the suspect will be caught soon.
"I feel very nervous and worried for my family," said Oahn Pham.
"Going upstairs around the corner is kind of scary, too because you never know who could pop up," said resident Ramona Pena.
Police are looking for a man who is approximately 25 years old, heavy set and between 5 feet tall and 5 feet 9 inches tall.
The suspect was reported to be wearing a blue hooded shirt and khaki pants at the time of the assault.
