Police search for man who robbed Houston store

Man robbed employees at gunpoint

HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department are seeking the public's help identifying a man who robbed a Houston store at gunpoint Saturday.

The man walked into a cash store in the 9400 block of Hammerly Boulevard at 1:40 p.m. and pretended to be a customer, police said. After a few minutes, he pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the employees, demanding they open the cash register and safe.

The employees filled a bag with money as the man ordered them to do, police said. He then took the bag and fled.

The man is described as having a medium Afro, and standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 150-180 pounds. He was wearing an oversized dark-color shirt, dark pants and white shoes.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging or arrest of the man. Anyone with information can call 713-222-TIPS.
