Police search for Galveston County bank robber

GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas – Galveston police are searching for a man who robbed the Capital One bank on Steward Road around 10 a.m. Thursday.

Witnesses said a man walked into the bank, jumped over the counter and demanded money from employees.

The man is described as possibly black, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 200 to 250 pounds. The man was wearing a hat, long-sleeved shirt, pants, gloves and a red bandana over his face, witnesses said. He was also carrying a red and gray umbrella.

No weapons were seen during the robbery.
