HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers and Houston police asked for the public’s help Friday to find a man accused of beating a child in northwest Houston.
Police said that on Aug. 18, a 4-year-old boy was whipped with a belt while being held down by Luis Fernando Juarez. They said that during the beating, a family member who intervened was also hit on the arm several times.

Police said the child suffered several long, red bruises across his lower back.
Officials said Juarez is charged with injury to a child under 15 causing bodily harm.
