HOUSTON -

The Houston Police Department is searching for the four armed men who shot a man in northeast Houston.

Authorities say around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, a man was attacked by four men in the middle of the street at Parker. One of the gunmen shot the victim four times in the abdomen.

The attackers fled the scene.

A man training to be a paramedic found the victim and cared for him until police arrived.

The victim was rushed to the hospital in serious condition, but is expected to live, police said.
