HOUSTON -

Investigators are working to access surveillance video at a home where two men were shot to death overnight.

Officers were called out to the home at 6301 Ezzard Charles Lane around midnight after reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived they found the two men both shot multiple times. The male victims, Tyreal Breaux, 26, and Horace Jackson, 60, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the younger man lived at the home with his wife and two kids and the older man was a friend who they paid to help fix things around the house.

"(They were) very nice, two little kids. Little boy came down here and lay with my children all the time, and a little girl, baby girl about 2 years old," says neighbor Tamarilyn Jackson.

The kids weren't home Saturday night when officers say three men with guns barged into the home demanding money.

"The wife was inside the residence, she was hiding when the home invasion occurred," said Officer P. Vela, with the Houston Police Department.

Officers said the three armed men stole a large amount of cash from the home before shooting and killing the victims. Investigators said they believe the shooting was drug related and that they found marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia inside the home.

"There has been a lot of traffic there, drugs being sold there," said Ceotis Grant, the prior owner of home.

Grant just sold the home to the couple about a year and a half ago and said he is shocked by the gruesome scene in his childhood house.

"My legacy is there, and my parents legacy is there, and I am sure they would be rolling around in their grave right now knowing that this kind of activity was going on where they brought us up," said Grant.

Investigators said the three suspects ran through an empty lot across the street and got away.
