Police release surveillance video of robber in NW Houston

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a man who robbed a check-cashing business in northwest Houston on Sept. 30, 2016.

Police said a man entered the business, which is located in the 12220 block of Jones Road, about 4 p.m.

The man demanded money from the register and fled the scene on foot. In the video, he can be seen wearing a colored motocross type of shirt and white jeans, police said.

The suspect is described as a black man, weighing 200 pounds and between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall.
