SUGAR LAND -

Sugar Land police need your help finding a toothless man who robbed a Subway at gunpoint.

Employees at the Sugar Land Subway are on edge after their coworkers were robbed.

"It is kind of scary, I am scared to open and she is scared to come by herself," said employee Patricia Rangel.

Officials said it happened around 10:45 p.m. Sunday when a man entered sandwich shop at 3557 State Highway. The suspect approached the counter, showed his handgun and demanded money from the safe.

When the employees told him they didn't have the combination to the safe, they said he became angry and jumped over the counter.

"He said, ‘Well y’all give me a good reason why you don’t have the number or I am going to put a bullet in y’all,’" said Rangel.

The suspect took the cash from the register and then forced the two employees into the 50-degree walk in freezer.

After about 15 minutes, they got out of the freezer and called 911.

Police describe the suspect as a black man, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing glasses, a black baseball cap and black pants. He also has a missing front tooth.
