Five men on the run after store robbery in northeast Houston

HOUSTON – Five men are on the run after a violent robbery at a convenience store in northeast Houston.

Police said it happened Wednesday around 2:30 p.m. on McCarty and Munn.

Surveillance video captured the thieves when they leaped through the counter window and demanded the money from the clerks.

One clerk said the robbers pushed a gun into his head and fired shots into the floor.

Police said four men robbed the store while one man waited in a stolen getaway car.

Officers later found the vehicle abandoned. The men got away with money from the clerk's wallet and the store's cash register.
