Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables said they were called out to a home in the 19000 block of English Pine Court shortly after 4 a.m. Friday.

A neighbor reported seeing a man "manhandling" a woman in the front yard, officials said.

Detectives said they determined that Sleiman was strangling his wife during an argument.

Investigators said Sleiman forced his wife out of their master bedroom and onto a couch outside the bedroom door. Deputy constables said Sleiman then put both of his hands on his wife neck and began to strangle her. Officials said the woman nearly passed out.

Investigators said Sleiman then pushed the woman down, pulled her hair and dragged her across the living room floor.

Sleiman was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail without bond.

Officials have not said what prompted the argument.
