WEBSTER, Texas – Prosecutors are expected to charge two men on Thursday in connection with a burglary, sexual assault and kidnapping.

Authorities said the ordeal started Wednesday in Webster when two men entered a home on Anne Drive through the back door.

Investigators said the two men tied up three residents and then sexually assaulted the mother and her daughter.

Next, the intruders loaded up the three into family's Suburban and drove 11 miles to Alvin, police said. According to investigators, the men were going to kill the victims and leave them in a field near FM 528 and 35.

Police said the intruder with the gun did not want anything to do with the killing. Authorities said all five got back in the Suburban and headed home. Somewhere along the way, police said they stopped for beer twice and one of the intruders fired his gun into the Suburban's windshield.

After they returned to the house, the intruders forced the victims to help gather crime evidence, police said.

"The boy went and got the handgun that they had in the house and confronted the two of them.  One guy took off running," said Chief Ray Smiley.

Neighbors helped lead police to one suspect. Police said the other suspect took off in a maroon truck and was later arrested in Dickinson.

The mother and her daughter were taken to the hospital.

Police said they will release the names of the suspects as soon as charges are filed.

Authorities said one suspect claimed he was the victim's ex-boyfriend.

"That's his ex-girlfriend, is what he's telling us now. I hold that with a grain of salt cause I'm not sure that's the truth or not," said Smiley.
