PEARLAND, Texas – A man was arrested on Friday, accused of growing marijuana inside his home.
Huu The Pham, 36, has been accused of bypassing the electric meter to power industrial grow lights, water filtration and cooling systems inside his home in the 2100 block of Catamaran Cove.

Pearland police said the elaborate operation could tend to over 450 marijuana plants.
Police said they found out about Pham's operation after receiving reports of suspicious activity at the house. Detectives said they investigated the reports and smelled the odor of fresh marijuana coming from the house.
Detectives said they got a search warrant for the residence. Just prior to serving the warrant, a man, later identified as Pham, left the home and was stopped on suspicion of traffic violations and detained, investigators said.
According to police, some of Pham's plants were over 6 feet high. All of the plants were seized, officials said.
Pham has been charged with possession of marijuana, 5 to 50 pounds, a third-degree felony. He was also charged with criminal mischief for tampering with electric utilities, a state jail felony.
Pham was transported to the Fort Bend County Jail, where he posted bond and was released March 10.
