Police: Man uses credit card stolen out of car

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Police are searching for a man who used a stolen credit card at several stores in Fort Bend County.

Sugar Land police said the credit card was one of several items stolen from two vehicles that were parked in driveways on Berkshire Ridge Drive on Oct. 12. Purses were left in plain view inside both vehicles, detectives said.

A woman said she heard a noise about 4 a.m. and saw a man reaching into the trunk of her daughter's car. She yelled at the man and he ran to a black or brown Toyota Celica and drove away with another man, investigators said.

A man was seen on surveillance video using a stolen credit card at the Walgreens store on West Grand Parkway South. The man matches the description the witness gave them, police said.
