Police: Man snatches cash from register

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Police need help identifying and finding a man who snatched cash out of a register at a convenience store.

Sugar Land police said the man walked into the Exxon station in the 13200 block of Dairy Ashford Road about 9:40 p.m. on Jan. 26.

The man asked the clerk for a cigar and put cash on the counter. Detectives said the clerk opened the register and the man reached across the counter and grabbed money out of the cash drawer.

The thief was described as black, 30 to 40 years old and 6 feet 2 inches tall with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, a green jacket, blue jeans, white shoes, a blue baseball cap and he had sunglasses hanging on his shirt.

The man left in a gray or silver, four-door, crew cab Toyota Tundra pickup truck.
