HOUSTON – A man has been accused of leaving his young sister alone in a parking lot.
Deshun Garrett, 23, has been charged with abandoning a child.

According to police, officers found Garrett's 3-year-old sister in an apartment complex parking lot in the 5000 of Aldine Bender.
The girl was able to take police back to her apartment, where her parents arrived at the home 15 minutes after police.
Police said the child was left in the care of her older brother. Garrett was found across the complex, where he went visit a friend, investigators said.
Garrett was released from jail on $2,000 bond.
