HOUSTON – Police are investigating after a man was shot and a woman was killed in an attempted murder-suicide in west Houston.
Police were called to the 7900 block of Westheimer just before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Officers arrived and found a woman dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, and an injured man. Police said the woman shot the man before turning the gun on herself.
The man was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The woman was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police are investigating what led to the shooting.
Investigators have not yet released the victims' identities.
