Police investigate flasher at apartment complex

Woman records man on cellphone camera

HOUSTON – Houston Police are investigating a man flashing residents at an apartment complex in southwest Houston.

On a cellphone, a resident recorded a man standing in the Aberdeen Apartment complex exposing and touching himself.

The resident, who asked that we protect her identity, said she was prepared with her phone because she has seen this twice before, starting in late April. Each time, she said the man has gotten bolder. The latest appearance was on Tuesday. In that case, he exposed himself for at least 40 seconds. She said the first two times were late at night but the latest was in the middle of the day.

"There were kids around, there are people around," she said. "People are walking, parking their cars and so forth. I don't know what he's capable of."

The resident said she wants to warn other residents. She feared next time it will be a more serious crime.

Local 2 called the apartment complex for comment. The manager referred us to the Westchase District. The District said at least one more flashing has been reported at an apartment complex in the area.

The Houston Police Sex Crimes Division is investigating.
