Police: Driver ran red light, hit taxi

HOUSTON – One person was taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash in southwest Houston early Thursday morning.

Investigators said two women were driving in a BMW when they ran a red light at the intersection of Westheimer and the West Loop.

The BMW slammed into a taxi cab, sending the cab crashing into an SUV.

One victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police said they don't believe alcohol was involved.
