HUMBLE, Texas - A teenager has been accused of forcing a 10-year-old boy to smoke synthetic marijuana on school property, according to authorities.
Humble Independent School District police said the incident happened at Maplebrook Elementary School, 7935 Farmingham, on Sunday.
Authorities said Christopher Stoneking, 18, approached his 10-year-old neighbor to smoke Kush, a synthetic marijuana. Stoneking is accused of holding the boy to the ground and saying he wouldn't let him up until he smoked the Kush.
A 10-year-old witness told investigators Stoneking threatened to hit him if he tried to stop him. That's when Stoneking lit a pipe, put it into the victim's mouth and forced him to smoke, authorities said.
A second witness told police he followed the group and saw Stoneking force the boy to smoke. The witness said he ran to a nearby Dollar General to get help as the boys ran to a church near the school. Meanwhile, Stoneking fled the scene.
The victim told investigators he stumbled and fell after smoking from the pipe. He described the sensation as weird and like his body was burning.
Stoneking has been charged with endangering a child and injury to a child under 15. He is being held without bond.
